Rock Your Resume (March 9th): This session is designed for individuals with a current resume looking for some tips for finalizing and polishing up their document as well as new graduates who are looking to enter the workforce. Learn how to showcase your accomplishments effectively by creating and/or polishing up a resume. Participants will acquire tips and resources about creating a "scan friendly" document for online applications along with a visually appealing resume to stand out to recruiters. This session offers a personal 10 minute review meeting with a Career Services specialist, Samantha Munsch.
Mock Interviews (April 6th): Prepare for tough questions asking how you handled specific situations in your past, including both successes and failures. Add impact to your interviews by learning how to talk about your successes, highlight your strengths and minimize your weaknesses by turning negatives into positives in this interactive interviewing session.
Find a Job With LinkedIn (May 4th): The fact that a full 94% of recruiters use social media, in particular LinkedIn, to fill open positions should get you excited! Companies are using LinkedIn because referrals from their employees are highly valued and lead to a higher employee success rate. Learn how to use this game-changing platform to get your next job and build your personal branding.
